Taco Bell Announces Major Menu Change This Fall
Fast food giant Taco Bell is one of America's most beloved chains. The restaurant dates back to 1951, when Glen Bell, inspired by friends and neighbors at Mitla Cafe, created his own version of the Crunchy Taco, which really took off. Just a few years later, in 1954, before he launched Taco Bell, Glen started Bell's Drive-In and Taco Tia in the San Bernardino, CA, area. Finally, in 1962, Glen opened his first Taco Bell restaurant in Downey, CA.
Considering that Taco Bell has been around for more than 50 years, it goes without saying that they've gone through plenty of changes. Today, the fast food restaurant business is constantly changing, and Taco Bell keeps up with that dynamic by switching up its menu on a regular basis.
Now, Taco Bell is gearing up to launch a new menu item this fall, and it's one that's been testing well in markets.
According to Snackolator, one of Taco Bell's desserts that they've been testing for a while, the Baja Blast pie, will finally get a nationwide release "likely around Thanksgiving." Snackolator adds that "rumors are that we might be seeing another one of these sweet treats soon as well."
The news came as part of a post from Snackolator, stating that Taco Bell is launching several new desserts this year. In the post, Snackolator reports that at this year's Live Mas Live, Taco Bell announced four new desserts and one returning favorite and that "we should be seeing at least three of them this year.
In addition to the Baja Blast pie, the "Caramel Apple Empanadas are set to return as part of the 2000s Decade menu," Snackolator states.
"Then we get the test kitchen items that we hope see a nationwide release," Snackolator adds. "Those include new Pumpkin Spice Empanadas with dipping sauce along with a new Salted Caramel Toffee Cream Empanada. "And then they are working on a Ube Strawberry *Cookie* which was a really amazing."
So, those with a sweet tooth will likely enjoy the new menu options rolling out at Taco Bell.
