Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner’s Surprise Outing Together Reminds Fans of This 2004 Moment Between Them
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are making fans turn their heads with their latest outing, but it’s not what it seems.
In case you missed it, Affleck and Garner were spotted watching the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays game at Fenway Park on Friday, July 11. Now, at first glance, fans freaked out thinking it was a one-on-one date between the exes; but that’s not the case.
Two other people were with them: two of their kids, Seraphina and Samuel. So this baseball outing was a family outing (sans their eldest child, Violet)! You can see that because MLB’s X account shared a video of the four of them front row with the caption reading, “Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are sitting front row at Fenway tonight!”
So, this outing shows that he pair are continually focused on making sure their children are happy; which we always love to see, especially after Affleck’s recent messy divorce from Jennifer Lopez.
But fans are still noting the place they decided to make this family outing. Longtime Garner and Affleck fans may know this, but did you know that the pair made their public debut as a couple at Game 1 of the 2004 World Series? At Fenway Park? Per People, they went to Fenway Park a lot as a couple, but now it seems they’re embracing their former hotspot as a family spot!
For those who don’t know, Affleck and Garner met in 2000, four years prior to their 2004 engagement, and then married in Turks and Caicos in June 2005. They later welcomed three children: Violet Anne Affleck, Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck, and Samuel Garner Affleck.
Sadly, the couple officially filed for divorce in 2017, and in 2018, they finalized their divorce. But now, they’re closer than ever.
