High humidity, summer storms expected this week in NY, NJ

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Expect early-morning clouds and fog to give way to brightening skies in the tri-state area Sunday. It will be humid once again, but it won't be very hot.

Afternoon highs will reach the low to mid-80s. Parts of New Jersey could warm into the upper 80s, while coastal locations are unlikely to get out of the 70s.

The region will start tomorrow with clouds in place as well, but the sun should peek out during the afternoon. In addition, a few showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop later in the day. Highs will once again be in the 80s.
