Jannik Sinner's Model Ex Girlfriend Opened Up About Rejection

Maria Braccini was quick to respond to fan speculation that she had rekindled a romance with tennis star Jannik Sinner, and she opened up about rejection after her relationship with Sinner ended.

The model posted a photo in Rome, Italy, to her Instagram page in May, which raised questions about whether they were back together because Sinner was playing at the Italian Open at that time.

With Sinner playing in the Wimbledon final, all eyes are turning toward him. He is single, as far as anyone knows, today.

According to Tennis Tonic, Sinner and Braccini dated in 2020. She was his girlfriend until late 2021, when they broke up, before briefly getting back together, the site reported. They were seen at a tennis match together. She is an Italian model and influencer.

After dating Braccini for three years, Sinner moved on to date tennis star Anna Kalinskaya, Marie Claire reported. They, too, have since broken up. In May 2025, he said at a press conference that he was “not in a relationship."

Braccini told fans in her comment thread on the May 19, 2025, Rome post that she was not back together with anyone. "No. No return, no boyfriend! Please… ????????," she responded, writing in Italian.

In 2024, in the wake of the break up with Sinner, she opened up about her life and rejection on social media. 

"On social media I never talked about myself, I never shared anything about my private life or what I was doing," she wrote in Italian. "I've been working so hard over the last few years to achieve one of my biggest dreams. I've been patient, I've studied, I've been rejected but I've never stopped believing and working to improve myself, silently so that I don't have easy roads."

She added, "I went on a trip to sign a paper that is really important to me, which marks the beginning of a new, long path. Thanks to all of you for all the affection you have always shown me, especially in this last period, I am immensely grateful. Often, reading you, I had clear eyes, aware of the affection and support you gave me.
Thank you, thank you, thank you with all my heart."

She explained, "Photos from the carousel are happy and special moments from this past month. And then... How is it said? For every door that closes, there is always another one that opens."
