Trader Joe’s Releases Flavor-Packed Ready-To-Eat Meal That’s Just $5
The ready-to-eat meal business is booming. Shoppers love being able to grab a convenient, fresh and satisfying lunch or dinner that doesn’t break the bank. Trader Joe’s seems to be leading the charge with innovative, unique and refreshing meals their fans love.
One of their latest lunch-in-a-dish products is Trader Joe's Korean-Style Bibim-Guksu, and it’s only $4.99 for the 9.81-ounce bowl. It’s packed with crisp veggies, noodles, kimchi and a spicy dressing.
More specifically, as Trader Joe’s puts it, “Korean Style Bibim-Guksu takes on a positively refreshing quality when it’s had time to chill. And in the case of our Bibim-Guksu, enjoying it at a lower temp also lets your palate fully engage with the texture of the slender wheat noodles, the crunch of the cabbage, carrots, and tart kimchi, and the spicy-savory notes of the included gochujang dressing.”

Fans are sharing their opinions on Reddit. “I love it. It could use more sauce, but it’s pretty low in calories and fresh. It’s great as a snack and it has a kick!”, said one commenter. “I really liked it; very fresh and tasty. It's actually pretty spicy which I loved," claimed another. Some had suggestions to bulk up the flavor, such as adding green onion, chili crisp and rice vinegar.
“Yoooo add the pineapple teriyaki chicken meatballs as the protein; it’s sooo bomb together!”, exclaimed one Instagram follower. “This is delicious! Next time I’m going to add sriracha tofu!”, exclaimed another.
A few other suggested additions are cooked salmon, chicken or tofu or a soft or hardboiled egg to make it a bit higher in protein. It can also serve as a veggie-packed side dish to many of Trader Joe’s frozen entrees, such as Korean Beefless Bulgogi, Korean-Style Short Ribs, Kimbap or Jumeokbap. The opportunities for a quick and flavorful meal are endless at TJ’s.
