'The Night Manager' Season 2 Gets Long-Awaited Update
Fans of the hit show The Night Manager, the adaptation of John le Carre's book, have been awaiting word on Season 2. It's been roughly nine years since the show's initial debut, and thankfully, there's some good news.
Barry Ryan, head of production at Ink Factory, which produced Season 1, spoke about Season 2 of the series during an interview with Variety. Along with the second season of the show starring Tom Hiddleston and Olivia Colman, the group will also produce Season 3.
Hiddleston and Colman are both returning for the upcoming season of The Night Manager, and according to Ryan, it'll mainly focus on Colombia.
“More than 75% of the story is about Colombia,” says Ryan.
Ryan expanded on the decision, praising the head of AG Studios, Rodrigo Guerrero, as an "amazing ambassador for the country."
“I really loved Rodrigo’s approach to production, but also how he dealt with people, the way that he looked after his crew,” he said.
“And he’s someone who’s got a lot of experience in a variety of productions, is very levelheaded and is very also very proud of Colombia. He wants people to come to Colombia and you feel it. He’s really an amazing ambassador for the country.”
The specifics of the locations in Colombia were detailed by Variety, which states that they filmed at a villa in Girardot, roughly four hours from the capital, Bogotá. Other locations included the Caribbean port city of Cartagena and the city of Medellín.
