Applebee's Beloved Cocktail Is Just $7 During Shark Week
The time has finally come—Shark Week is nearly here, and restaurants are celebrating. Just after Outback announced new cocktails and mocktails that fans can sink their teeth into, Applebee's came out with a can't miss beverage deal. To celebrate Shark Week, the fast casual chain is enabling customers to order the Shark Bowl for just $7 from July 20 through July 27.
The frozen drink, placed in the restaurant's signature Mucho glass, consists of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum blended with fruity flavors. It's then garnished with a gummy shark that replicates the sea creature swimming around on the top. A former Applebee's bartender on Reddit claims that the fruit add-in is "essentially a mix of blueberry, pineapple, and cherry juice." However, there are many attempted copycat recipes of the drink floating around online.
The $7 Days of Sharks deals will take place at select locations nationwide, particularly ones owned by the Flynn Group. Check to see if the restaurant nearest to you is included in this Shark Week promotion on the company's website. Flynn Group currently owns and operates 435 Applebee's locations.

You can order the cocktail at dine-in or take it to-go if that is legally permitted in your state (for example, it's legal in New York, but with certain provisions). Dan Krebsbach, President of Flynn Applebee's, described the Shark Bowl as "an experience."

"With $7 Days of Sharks, we're excited to offer guests a fun, seasonal favorite at a great value," Krebsbach continued. "It's the perfect way to dive into the shark-themed excitement happening this summer."
The Shark Bowl has found its way to menus in the past, one of the most notable years being 2021, but has notoriously only been available for a limited-time (usually during Shark Week).
The week-long event will be available for streaming on the Discovery Channel, Discovery+ and HBO Max. The premiere is on Sunday, July 20 at 8 p.m. EST/PST.
