Ex-UFC Star Arrested on Gun Charges
A former UFC star landed behind bars after he fired a gun while passing a car crash in New Mexico.
As first reported by TMZ Sports, Diego Sanchez was arrested Thursday after it's alleged he fired his gun while he was the passenger in a Jeep Gladiator, which was driving on I-40 in Albuquerque.
Court documents obtained by the outlet state police were on the scene of the accident when the Gladiator drove by and someone in the car fired a round. Cops followed the Gladiator and later identified Sanchez as the alleged shooter.
Cops say when they pulled over the Gladiator, the driver admitted there was a gun in the vehicle but Sanchez denied firing the shot. The driver, who is not facing any charges, allegedly told police that Sanchez fired his gun and laughed about it.
