Caitlin Clark Doesn't Hold Back on Her Opinion of Indianapolis
Indianapolis just hosted WNBA All-Star Weekend, with Caitlin Clark's presence being felt throughout the event.
Unfortunately, Clark was unable to compete in Friday's 3-Point Contest and Saturday's All-Star Game due to a groin injury she reaggravated in a win over the Connecticut Sun last Tuesday.
The second-year star was in attendance for both showcases, supporting Indiana Fever teammates like Lexie Hull, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston and serving as captain for one of the two All-Star squads.
On Sunday afternoon, Clark gave the Fever, the city of Indianapolis and local fans a shoutout for their work over the last couple of days.
"Incredible weekend in Indy!! Our organization gave everything to make this the best WNBA All-Star Weekend yet—and it delivered in every way," Clark wrote. "Grateful to call this city home and beyond thankful for the incredible fans who brought the energy and made it special."

The Fever have been a WNBA franchise for 25 years, but had not hosted All-Star Weekend until now. Clark's widespread impact on the game undoubtedly played a major role in them getting the honor.
While the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year was disappointed to have to sit out, Clark said Sunday night she had been trying to make the most of the festivities.
"When the injury happened, it was pretty frustrating considering I knew what the coming days were going to hold for myself," Clark said, via ESPN. "But [this weekend] wasn't going to be taken away from me. Sure, maybe I'm not able to play the games, but I can still be here and participate, and I have a ton of friends and family in town that are having a really good time. So, I've been trying to enjoy the best I can.
"Still getting to be around and be a part of everything is really important for myself and for the fans. They've been out in full force, whether they're coming into the game tonight or whether they're just enjoying all the festivities that are around our city. So, just really happy, not only for Indianapolis and state of Indiana and our organization, but really just the league. I think the weekend has been absolutely incredible."
