Malcolm-Jamal Warner's Final Instagram Post Before He Drowned
Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who was best known for playing Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show, had a large following on Instagram.
TMZ and People are reporting, through sources, that Warner has died at the age of 54 after drowning in Costa Rica. Authorities in that country told ABC that the actor died of asphyxia after being discovered on July 20.
What was his final Instagram post before his death?
On July 6, Warner posted a video from the King Center for "Be Love Day."
"Our World House needs for us to BE LOVE. Our collective holistic health depends on it. In 3 days…BE LOVE DAY," he wrote. "In 3 days…BE LOVE DAY. #Become #Believe #BeLove."
He had more than 700,000 followers.
The post continued, "Why? It’s going to be actionable, inspiring, and strategic - with virtual and in-person experiences. An interactive exploration and celebration of what LOVE can do in every area of our lives, including in our collaboration to create the #BelovedCommunity."
Two days before his death, his page contained a video clip from a podcast that was jointly posted.
"This week on Not All Hood, Malcolm & Candace sit with the legendary Tameka 'Georgia Me' Harper as she gets real on being Black, brilliant & unapologetically hood. She drops gems on ATL gentrification, cultural erasure & radical self-love," the post reads.
The post has now filled with tributes as news of Warner's death has spread.
Warner previously posted a clip from The Cosby Show on his page. "Some things never get old!" he wrote with one video.
"Omg I came to confirm it wasn’t true but the comments has me sad, ????" wrote one person.
"Wow. RIP KING.. your impact was felt here- you’ll be missed????️" wrote another fan on Warner's Instagram page.
According to TMZ, he is survived by a wife and a daughter but their names are not clear because he kept his life so private.
