Albany PD arrest 2 after ongoing investigation
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Two men were arrested Monday after Albany Police detectives allegedly recovered a handgun and crack cocaine while looking into an ongoing investigation. According to officers, Tahjakese Hepburn, 18, of Albany, and Keylonne Williams, 20, of Rensselaer, face multiple charges each.
Officers said around 1:15 p.m., the two were stopped walking near Central and Lexington Avenues in regard to an ongoing investigation. Upon a search, Hepburn was reportedly found with a loaded 9mm handgun and Williams was allegedly found with a quantity of crack cocaine.
Charges for Williams:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fifth degree
Charges for Hepburn:
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree
Both men were arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court Monday afternoon. Hepburn was remanded to the Albany County Jail and Williams was released.
