Hulk Hogan's Final Instagram Post Came 1 Day Before He Died
Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has died at the age of 71, after medics were called to his home for a cardiac arrest report.
That's according to TMZ, which first reported that the icon was dead on July 24.
Hogan's death was sudden and unexpected. In fact, his final Instagram posts gave no clue that he was nearing the end.
His most recent posts on his Instagram page were promotional and promoted beer.
A post from The Real American Beer brand cross-tagged Hogan's page. "Beach day sponsored by brotherhood," the post, which appeared on Hogan's Instagram page a day before he died, shows him holding a beer can.
The day before his death, another post contained a picture of Tony Soprano and promoted the bear. James Gandolfini, who played Soprano, died of a heart attack in 2013. Five days before his death, Hogan was on video promoting the beer line again.
Fans have now filled the last post's comment threads with tributes, with many declaring their shock that Hogan has died.
"Rest in Peace brother! HULKAMANIA will live forever ????????" wrote one person on his Instagram page.
"Bro was promoting that beer all the way till the end," another person wrote.
"PLEASE TELL ME HE'S ALIVE," wrote another forlorn fan.
Hogan had been the subject of rumors that he was dying for about a month when a radio personality said he heard that he had heart issues and might not make it. According to TMZ, at the time people close to Hogan denounced those rumors, saying he had been hospitalized for back and neck issues.
According to Vine Pair, Real American Beer "recognized by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) is a contract-brewed gimmick brand owned by Terry Bollea, a former professional wrestler and reality-television star you know as Hulk Hogan."
