Savannah Bananas Player Face Plants on Live TV After Failed Backflip
The Savannah Bananas, an exhibition barnstorming baseball team, have become famous for their silly antics on the field. But now, they're going viral for a different reason.
The team prioritizes showmanship while on the baseball field, with players taking part in everything from dance routines to comedic sketches.
With their popularity growing, mostly because of social media, a Bananas player made an appearance on CNN News Central recently.
However, things did not go smoothly. The player went for a backflip to show what he could do but ended up failing and face-planting in a wipeout that hurt just watching it.
Thankfully, he appeared to be OK.

Some people who saw the clip wondered if the whole thing was staged, but we would guess not because he did look dazed upon getting up.
"Don't know if he did that as a joke but," one person wrote.
"Hard to tell. He appears dazed but he never attempted to get his feet under him," another person replied. "Could have been a goof."
One fan who said they were familiar with the player noted that "he's pretty good, I bet he (definitely) messed up."
According to the Bananas' official website, tickets for games through the month of August are sold out, so clearly the team is enjoying success.
The Bananas play their games against other touring teams, including the Party Animals, Firefighters, Texas Tailgaters and Visitors.
