Former England cricketer analyzed Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling, Mentioned the secret behind his performance is…
Former England cricketer Jonathan Trott has noted that Indian star pacer Jasprit Bumrah benefits and performs greatly when there is support at the other end.
“Bumrah’s areas were pretty good, and his economy reflects that — he was just a bit unlucky. But the bigger issue is pressure from both ends. Bumrah benefits massively when there’s support at the other end, and that wasn’t the case today (Friday),” JioHotstar expert Trott said.
As India is 1-2 down in the current series, and are trailing England by 186 runs by the end of Day 3 of the fourth Test, Jonathan believes the match is “slightly beyond” the visitors. Despite having Jasprit Bumrah in his final clash of the series- as he was assigned only three of the five matches- the Shubman Gill-led side still failed to break through.
“When you’re slightly under par as a bowling unit – like India were – control from both ends becomes crucial,” Jonathan said.
Speaking about the match, Day 3 of the 4th Test at the Old Trafford Stadium ended with England posting a score of 544/7 after playing 135 overs, and are leading over India by 186 runs so far.
