Who is Wesley LePatner? Blackstone employee killed in NYC shooting
NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – Blackstone has identified one of its employees, Wesley LePatner, as a victim in Monday’s fatal shooting in Manhattan.
LePatner, the Chief Executive Officer of Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust (BREIT), was one of four people killed in the shooting, according to Blackstone.
"Wesley was a beloved member of the Blackstone family and will be sorely missed. She was brilliant, passionate, warm, generous, and deeply respected within our firm and beyond. She embodied the best of Blackstone," a spokesperson told PIX11 News.
LePatner is a graduate of Yale and worked at Blackstone for over 10 years, according to her LinkedIn profile. She previously worked at Goldman Sachs. She was also on the board of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
A spokesperson for Blackstone said LePatner had a husband and children. She was 43, according to TheRealDeal.
