Church Point police seek woman who used counterfeit bills
CHURCHPOINT, La. (KLFY) -- Church Point Police are seeking Mary Ella Gaudet, 41, of Rayne, who is charged with two counts of monetary instrument abuse.
Police reported that the incident occurred on Jan. 11 when Gaudet who was an employee of the business allegedly took 20-dollar bills and replaced them with counterfeit 20-dollar bills. A second incident also occurred when Gaudet allegedly tried to pay a debt owed with more counterfeit 20-dollar bills.
According to police, Gaudet has a criminal history and is a convicted felon for prior drug offenses.
