Yuzvendra Chahal clears air of Alimony dispute with Dhanashree: Also spoke about ‘Sugar Daddy’ t-shirt
India’s out-of-favour spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has often found himself in headlines because of off-field drama, as he personal life kept getting put on spotlight. Ever since the news of Chahal and Dhanashree Varma’s divorce came out, a lot was said and written about what has happened.
Ahead of the duo’s final court appearance, Yuzvendra Chahal was spotted wearing a black t-shirt, with ‘Be Your Own Sugar Daddy’ written on it in bold white letters. Fans interpreted this text, and speculated that it was written with the intent to indirectly poke Dhanashree.
While having a conversation with Raj Shamani, Chahal touched the topic of his t-shirt and said, “Mereko nahi karna tha drama (I didn’t want to do any drama). I just wanted to give one message and maine woh de diya (which I gave through the T-shirt).”
Chahal even stated that he had no intention to wear that t-shirt, but something happened that led him to take the decision. “Mera pehle mann nahi tha. Fir saamne se kuch hua toh fir maine kaaha ab sambhaal lo, ab mujhe nahi parwah kisi ki. Maine na kisi ko abuse kra, bus mujhe message dena tha (I didn’t initially intend to do so. But then something happened, and I thought, ‘Enough is enough, now I don’t care about anyone.’ I didn’t abuse anyone; I just wanted to convey my message),” he shared.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Varma got married in December 2020 after meeting each other for the first time during the Covid-19 pandemic. The couple’s divorce was finalized earlier this year.
