Man, 67, beaten with metal pipe in Upper Manhattan: NYPD
EAST HARLEM, Manhattan (PIX11) -- A manhunt continues for a man accused of hitting a 67-year-old man multiple times with a metal pipe in East Harlem on Sunday, Aug. 3, according to the NYPD.
The incident happened around 9:56 p.m. in front of 315 Pleasant Avenue.
Police say the suspect approached the victim and a verbal dispute ensued. The victim was then hit in the head and the back with a metal pipe.
The suspect fled south on Pleasant Avenue, police say. He is described to be around 5'10'' to 6'1'' and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers.
