New Jersey lottery players win big with $6.8 million in prizes
NEW JERSEY (PIX11) -- On Tuesday night, lottery players in New Jersey scored a big win, with a total of $6.8 million awarded in winnings.
The winnings comprised a record-high $3.8 million Jersey Cash 5 jackpot and a $3 million Mega Millions prize.
Two lottery winners will split the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot and come away with $1,908,863 each. One of the winning tickets was purchased at the Liquor Mart at 334 East Browning Road in Camden County. The second was sold at the 7-Eleven at 1128 Pine Brook Road in Tinton Falls, Monmouth County.
Each retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning tickets.
An Ocean County lottery player won $3 million in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing. The winning numbers were 17, 26, 33, 45, and 56.
