'Love Is Blind' Stars Patrick & Kacie Address Whether They Dated After That Awkward Show Departure
After their awkward kinda breakup in episode 6 of Love Is Blind season 9, we finally know the status of Patrick and Kacie’s relationship after they left the show.
Patrick Suzuki, 31, and Kacie Mcintosh, 34, had a somewhat turbulent beginning to their Love Is Blind journey as Patrick initially felt a stronger connection with another contestant, Anna. Patrick also seemed concerned about whether Kacie would feel attracted to him, eventually revealing his Chinese-Cambodian ethnicity.
After Anna left the experiment, Patrick focused his attention on Kacie and the pair got engaged in the pods. Though their first meeting seemed to go well, Kacie got cold feet ahead of the cast’s trip to Mexico.
“He deserves somebody better than me. He’s not a bad-looking guy in any sense, but he deserves somebody that is so obsessed with him,” Kacie said on the show. “I just, unfortunately, don’t think my attraction to him is gonna grow that much, and it sucks.”
Kacie met up with Patrick and told him she didn’t want to go to Mexico or continue with the show but seemed to leave the door open to having a relationship back in Denver. Now, we finally know what went down between the pair after cameras stopped rolling.
Are Patrick & Kacie Still Together After Love Is Blind?
No, Patrick and Kacie are no longer together and did not date after leaving Love Is Blind. Patrick revealed at a group hangout episode 9 of the show that he had not seen Kacie since returning to Denver and said they’ve only communicated via text.
Kacie and Patrick also shared conflicting account of what happened after leaving the show in separate interviews on an October 7 episode of The Viall Files podcast. Patrick claimed that they never met up “one-on-one,” even after he reached out ahead of the pod squad meetup. “‘Hey, let’s have a conversation before we see everyone.’ She was like, ‘I need time. I need time,'” he recalled.
Kacie, meanwhile, said she had “intentions” of dating Patrick in Denver but had a different version of what happened once they got home.
“That’s not how it went down. He did not reach out to me. I reached out to him,” she claimed to host Nick Viall. “We got back on, like, a Friday. He wanted to have a phone call or meet up immediately. I was like, ‘Listen, I’m so emotional right now, I just got home it’s not going to be the outcome you want.'”
As seen in episode 9, once Patrick met up with the rest of the cast, he ended up telling Anna that he would have proposed to her if she hadn’t left the pods early. When this got back to Kacie, she decided she didn’t want to continue her relationship with Patrick.
“Then I was like, ‘This is not my love story,'” Kacie confessed on The Viall Files.
Patrick previously discussed healing from his breakup with Kacie in an October 3 interview with People. “It was pretty tough,” he said. “It took me many months of travel, many months of therapy and stuff like that. The closure, I figured out pretty quickly. The healing part was the hard part. And then after watching it… I guess it did help a little bit.”
Kacie also addressed the breakup and the online hate she’s been receiving in her own October 6 interview with People, saying, “I guess a lot of people are coming after me right now, and I just have to say I wore my heart on my sleeve. I did what I could and I’m human and I did an experiment that unfortunately just did not work for me. And I feel really sorry that it didn’t work for Patrick either, and that it didn’t work for us.”
