Update: Flood advisory affecting Delta until Thursday night caused by prolonged downpours
Delta is under an updated flood advisory which was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 9:45 p.m. The advisory is in effect until Thursday Dec. 25, at 9 p.m.
The NWS Sacramento CA said, “Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.”
“Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways,” according to the NWS. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
