South Park writer takes full advantage after beating Donald Trump to web domain
A former South Park writer has pulled off a spectacular troll job after nabbing the web address for one of Donald Trump’s top pet projects.
Toby Morton spotted an opportunity and purchased ‘Trump Kennedy’ domains months before the US president renamed the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
Now, the hijacked site promises to ‘ring in the new year with a performance by the Epstein dancers.’
The website, adorned with a new logo that mimics the much-maligned redactions in recently released files relating to Jeffrey Epstein, states: ‘Beginning January 2026, TrumpKennedyCenter.org enters a new era of devotion, unity, and inherited authority.
‘We exist to preserve what must endure, to honor what must not be questioned, and to gather those who understand that greatness is not chosen, it is recognised.
‘Here, tradition is not remembered. It is maintained.
‘Ceremonies, recognitions, and sanctioned appearances will be revealed in due time.
‘Participation is not required, but belonging is expected.’
Donations via PayPal and Venmo are also advertised on the page to ‘help build and maintain the website.’
Last week, the White House announced that the government-owned arts theater, which served as a ‘living memorial’ to John F. Kennedy would be renamed the Trump-Kennedy Center.
After learning of the president’s plans to remake the center’s programming, Mr Morton purchased the domain names ‘trumpkennedycenter.org’ and ‘trumpkennedycenter.com’ in August.
The writer told The Washington Post he knew Trump’s name would be going on the building ‘as soon as he began gutting the Kennedy Center board earlier this year’.
Morton, who wrote for the popular animated sitcom from 2001 to 2003, frequently buys domain names and turns them into comedic websites as a form of political activism.
On his Instagram page, where his bio reads ‘Creator of Anti-Fascists Websites’, Morton frequently shares updates on his spoofed websites and backlash he receives.
One user messaged Morton, saying: ‘If you stop raising donations on the Trump Kennedy website there’s a chance the president won’t sue you.
‘F***ing idiot. Shut it down.’
Morton shared his reply on an Instagram post stating: ‘Your concern has been received, acknowledged and filed accordingly under ‘go f*** youself’. Dog Bless.’
However, Morton has also received applause and support for the gimmick site, most notably from Kerry Kennedy, niece of John F. Kennedy.
Morton shared a screenshot of a message from Kerry where she said: ‘I can’t tell you how thrilled that was when I read that you had purchased the Trump Kennedy center domain name.
‘There are many forms back to this system, and yours is unique and impactful. I just want to express my gratitude.’
Morton also currently owns one website about Nancy Mace’s 2026 South Carolina gubernatorial run and a potential Marjorie Taylor Greene 2025 Senate Campaign.
The mock Mace website reads: ‘I’m not here to serve, I’m here to brand. If that means mocking trans kids, defaming exes, inflating reimbursements, or screaming ‘groomer’ on the House floor for likes, so be it.’
Meanwhile the Marjorie Taylor Greene satire website states: ‘Building a Whiter Tomorrow.’
Morton also targets Democrats with his comedic websites, namely Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
The site ResignChuck.com says: ‘I’ve spent years perfecting the art of bowing, not to the people who elected me, but to the ones who bought the room.’
Funded by his own money and donations he receives, Morton also occasionally buys billboard space to troll his political opponents.
