What Caused the Wreck
The BBC reports that the Lexus was traveling "beyond the legally prescribed speed limit."
The outlet reports that the Lexus lost control during "an overtaking maneuver" and crashed into the stationary truck by the side of the road.
"The accident happened as a result of a burst tire on AJ's vehicle, which caused the driver to lose control and the vehicle to swerve into the stationary truck parked along the road," Ogun State Police Commissioner Lanre Ogunlowo told ESPN.
Anthony Joshua's Condition
Reports say that Joshua was taken to a nearby hospital and is being treated for minor injuries. He's reportedly "fine."
"He was seated in the rear of the vehicle, sustained minor injuries and is receiving medical attention. Tragically, two other passengers in the vehicle lost their lives at the scene," police told ESPN.
The Daily Mail reported that Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, was on vacation with his family when he woke up to the Joshua news.
