The female chef went to police on December 16, claiming Stefon entered her unlocked bedroom to discuss their texts over money she felt she was owed, per TMZ‘s review of the incident report.
During that exchange, he alleged became angry, smacking her across the face, and he then “tried to choke her using the crook of his elbow around her neck.”
The chef claims she “could have blacked out” and he allegedly tightened her grip before throwing her onto the bed and saying something like “Thought so.”
He allegedly called her claims that she hadn’t been paid “lies” before leaving. She said she experienced redness on her upper chest, but did not take photos. She also said she was hesitant to come forward.
The chef claims she began working for him in July, and was supposed to be paid weekly, but it switched to monthly, and she allegedly wasn’t paid that month. She claims he didn’t want to pay her for a week of work in November, which she disputed.
She also said after that incident, she no longer worked for him, and when she came back to collect her things, he texted her to handle it with his assistant, who allegedly tried to have her sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
She allegedly got a voicemail and texts from a woman she believed to be Stefon‘s girlfriend telling her not to escalate the incident, which she told police on December 20.
Stefon is dating Cardi B, but it’s unclear whether that was the woman.
The chef reportedly sought to press charges on December 23.
Stefon‘s attorney David Meier calls the claims “unsubstantiated, uncorroborated, and were never investigated — because they did not occur,” in a statement to TMZ.
“The timing and motivation for making the allegations is crystal clear: they are the direct result of an employee-employer financial dispute that was not resolved to the employee’s satisfaction.”
“Stefon looks forward to establishing the truth in a court of law,” he added.
