Delcy Rodríguez sworn in as Venezuela’s leader amid US threats
Delcy Rodríguez was sworn in as interim president of Venezuela on Monday, hours after Donald Trump warned she would “pay a very big price” if she did not cooperate with Washington.
Rodríguez, previously vice-president under Nicolás Maduro, now leads a country under partial US control following the military seizure of Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores.
Both remain in detention in New York and are due to appear in federal court today on narco-terrorism and weapons charges.
