Unknown Man Attacks Vice President J.D. Vance’s Home, Breaks Windows
An unknown man was taken into custody early Monday after breaking several windows at the Cincinnati home of pro-life Vice President J.D. Vance. The window’s home shows damage with potential gun shots.
The destruction prompted a swift response from U.S. Secret Service agents and local police.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight in the East Walnut Hills neighborhood, where Vance maintains a personal residence along the Ohio River. Secret Service personnel physically detained the adult male suspect, who was then arrested by Cincinnati police on allegations of property damage.

“The residence was unoccupied at the time of the incident, and the Vice President and his family were not in Ohio,” the U.S. Secret Service said in a statement.
Authorities confirmed the suspect did not enter the home, and preliminary assessments showed no injuries or indication of a broader threat.
Federal and local investigators are examining whether the individual deliberately targeted Vance or his family, with the Secret Service coordinating with the Cincinnati Police Department and the U.S. Attorney’s Office as charging decisions are reviewed.
“The U.S. Secret Service is coordinating with the Cincinnati Police Department and the U.S. Attorney’s Office as charging decisions are reviewed,” the agency added.
Vance had been in Cincinnati the previous week but departed Sunday afternoon. The investigation remains ongoing.
