Kate Hudson is getting major Oscar buzz for her performance in the new movie Song Sung Blue, though the son of the film’s real-life subject is not happy with the film.
The 46-year-old actress was just supported by her friend Demi Moore at a special screening of the movie on Wednesday (January 7) at Soho House in Los Angeles.
Al Pacino, Mark Ruffalo, and Leonardo DiCaprio all attended the event to support Kate as well!

Mike‘s son Michael Jr. was omitted from the film and he has slammed the project.
“My father’s rolling in his grave right now,” he told the Daily Mail. “Everybody thinks it’s such a wonderful film, it’s so touching. It’s all lies. And it steals all the hard work that my father put in his entire life…”
Mike‘s daughter Angelina, who is featured in the movie, also slammed the project. She said, “The only thing that was true is the love between my dad and Claire. It’s a beautiful story, but that’s not how it went down. And I guess that’s what’s upsetting because it’s a lie.”
Kate was asked to respond to the comments, but she deflected.
“Honestly, I don’t even know,” she told THR. “Out of respect for our filmmakers, I’m not the right person to speak to it.”
