Here's Where and When to Stream the 2026 Golden Globe Awards
The 83rd Golden Globe Awards are set to take place on Sunday, January 11, honoring this past year's biggest names in film and television. Following last week's Critics Choice Awards, the Golden Globes are the next building block making up the official start of the 2025–2026 awards season.
With so many award shows spread out over many streaming platforms, it's hard to keep track of how to watch the star-studded event of the week. Here's how to watch the 83rd Golden Globes ceremony live or after it's initial air date on January 11.
Where and When to Stream the Golden Globes
The Golden Globes will air this year on CBS, as it has since 2024. Those with cable can find it on their local CBS station at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET, streaming live from coast to coast. It will also be available on streaming platforms with live television like Hulu + Live TV, Youtube TV, or Direct TV.
Paramount+, the streaming platform owned by the same parent company as CBS, will also show the Golden Globes live, but with a caveat. Those paying for Paramount+ Premium will be able to watch the show live, but users with the basic membership or Paramount+ Essential will need to wait until the next day.
Who Is Hosting the 2026 Golden Globes
Comedian Nikki Glaser is hosting the 83rd Golden Globe Awards following her success at the bit during last year's ceremony. It takes place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. While the awards show starts at 5 p.m. local time, the glamour-ridden red carpet begins two hours earlier at 3 p.m. PT.
CBS channels will be hosting their own red carpet pre-shows starting at 3 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET, which will be available to watch on all the same channels as the show itself. E! is also hosting its own red carpet show, Live From E! Golden Globes, wherever the E! channel can be found, including Hulu + Live TV, Youtube TV, or Direct TV.
High-Profile Celebrities Set to Attend
It's uncertain which celebrities will walk the red carpet, but there are plenty of film and television stars expected to attend the ceremony as either nominees or presenters. Prior to the show, seating charts for guests have begun to roll out online, showing fans a fun look at where their favorite celebrities will be sitting for the show.
Some of those expected to attend include Julia Roberts, Paul Mescal, Emma Stone, Leonardo Dicaprio, Michael B. Jordan, Jacob Elordi, Kevin Bacon, Joe Keery, Charli XCX, Connor Storrie, Hudson Williams, Mila Kunis, and Miley Cyrus.
2026's Big Nominations
This year has been especially competitive in both the worlds of film and television. The Golden Globes breaks up its Best Picture categories into two: Drama or Musical/Comedy. This means that the Golden Globes typically have twice as many films vying for the top prize.
This year Frankenstein, Hamnet, It Was Just An Accident, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value, and Sinners are competing for the Best Motion Picture - Drama category. Blue Moon, Bugonia,Marty Supreme, No Other Choice, Nouvelle Vague, and One Battle After Another are the nominees for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy.
For her performance in If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, Rose Byrne has been dominating the Lead Actress category across previous award shows and various critics circles. During last week's Critics Choice Awards, though, the prize went to Jessie Buckley for Hamnet.
