Halldór Helgason Has A New Board Sponsor
Halldor Helgason will now ride for Bataleon Snowboards.
It seems like a perfect match. If there are two things Helgason’s known for, it’s being creative on his board and having as much fun as possible. He’ll fit in just fine on a team that already includes good friend Ethan Morgan and Beyond Medals riders Tor Lundstrom and Ulrik Badertscher.
In the past few years, Helgason rode for Lobster, which he co-founded with his brother Eiki back in 2010. Lobster merged with YES in 2024, but that seemingly changed when the Nidecker Group sold YES back to the co-founders, Romain De Marchi and JP Solberg.

“After spending years in the snowboard business, I’ve realized that I want to continue being surrounded by good people, focus my energy on riding my snowboard, and leave the ‘business’ to the people in the office,” said Helgason in a press release. "Bataleon was my first choice, I love working with everyone there, the team is sick, and I’m really hyped on their products. Thank you Bataleon, I’m excited for this new chapter."
Helgason will rep Bataleon boards, boots, and bindings. He has also departed from the ThirtyTwo team.
"Halldor on Bataleon has been a dream of mine since the first time I saw the kid (at that time) ride," said Dennis Dusseldorp, Founder & CEO at Low Pressure Studio. "When the opportunity presented itself many years ago, neither Bataleon nor Halldor were ready for it yet, but we got creative and started working together. Now, all of the stars are aligned, and while it feels unreal, it also feels as if Halldor has been on Bataleon for the last twenty years.”
