Thomas Frank’s future is now in serious doubt following Tottenham’s latest 2-1 Premier League defeat to West Ham United.

Thomas Frank’s misery was compounded further as his Tottenham Hotspur side fell to a dismal 2-1 defeat to West Ham United in the London derby.

The Danes’ last six months have been anything but consistent, with results largely poor and performances falling well short of what is typically expected of a Tottenham team.

His pragmatic approach has created a growing disconnect between himself and the Spurs faithful, who called for the Dane to be sacked following the display against the Hammers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Thomas Frank future in doubt after Tottenham defeat to West Ham United

According to The Times, Thomas Frank’s future is now said to be in the balance after Tottenham Hotspur suffered an embarrassing home defeat by West Ham United.

The Dane has struggled to rectify the north London side’s poor home form since taking over from Ange Postecoglou six months ago, while results on the pitch have gotten worse.

It is now understood that, following a defeat to a team in the bottom four, patience is wearing thin. Although the Spurs hierarchy have never wanted to sack Frank and were keen to give him time, it is said that they are now at least weighing up a potential change.

Spurs’ actions suggest Frank backing despite external pressure

While reports suggest that Frank is under pressure, the actions of the club do not fully reflect that position.

Tottenham have only recently appointed John Heitinga as Frank’s assistant manager, a move that was pushed for by the former Brentford boss, suggesting that Spurs are doing what they can to ensure Frank succeeds in north London.

Tottenham also appear set to back the Dane during this transfer window, with Conor Gallagher already arriving and further additions possible in the coming weeks.
