Israeli strikes continue in Gaza amid launch of US-backed governance plan
Israeli forces have killed dozens of Palestinians and wounded many more in renewed air and ground attacks across the Gaza Strip, as a new US-backed Palestinian technocratic committee met in Cairo to begin the second phase of a peace plan announced by President Donald Trump.
Since the start of the ceasefire on 10 October, Israeli forces have killed at least 463 Palestinians and wounded over 1,200, according to Gaza’s health authorities. Israel reports the deaths of three soldiers over the same period.
