Car flies off 101 Freeway, crashes into roof at Woodland Hills strip mall
A car flew off the 101 Freeway near the Shoup Avenue exit in Woodland Hills and crashed into the roof at a strip mall shortly after 3 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, the CHP said.
The damage extended some 50 feet along a freeway fence, CHP spokesperson Matt Gutierrez said. The extent of the damage to the building and what caused the southbound car to crash were unavailable on Sunday afternoon.
Officers found no one in the car and were still looking for the driver Sunday, he said. The crash is considered a hit-and-run, he added.
Officers found the car lodged into the building and had it towed. There were no injuries and no road closures or immediate hazards, officials said.
