'This Is Insane': Trump Causes Deep Alarm By Linking Greenland Threats To Nobel Peace Prize Snub
Donald Trump has stunned everyone after admitting that being snubbed for the Nobel Peace Prize is what pushed him to try and seize Greenland.
The US president penned an extraordinary text message to Norway’s prime minister Jonas Gahr Store on Sunday, blaming the country for him failing to receive the esteemed accolade.
Trump wrote: “Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace.”
He added: “The World is not secure unless we have complete and total control of Greenland.”
But Greenland is semi-autonomous and has been part of Denmark for more than three centuries.
It is therefore part of Nato, too, meaning Trump is threatening a fellow member state and putting the whole defence alliance at risk.
He also announced on Saturday that he would slap more tariffs on eight European countries – including the UK – unless they allowed the States to seize Greenland, although the continent has not backed down.
Prime minister Keir Starmer condemned Trump over that threat on Monday, but insisted the UK would not be retaliating as a full-blown trade war “is in no one’s interest”.
Meanwhile, Store responded to Trump’s letter by reminding him an independent committee chooses the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, not the Norwegian government.
Trump’s admission that he has caused all this international chaos just because he did not win the Nobel Peace Prize understandably rocked the general public on X.
While some social media users joked that he should just be given a mock “Super Nobel Peace Prize for the Most Peace” just to end the upheaval, others were quick to point out the potentially huge ramifications of Trump’s tantrum...
At this point, just give him a “Super Nobel Peace Prize for the Most Peace,” a coloring book of Greenland, so we can all move on with our lives.

Trump was not the only one to be ridiculed on social media, though.
Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey said Starmer was “weak, weak, weak” for refusing to punish the US president over his threats, insisting: “This appeasement must end.”
Others also mocked his more diplomatic approach, even accusing him of “cowardice”.
