MAGA podcaster rages at Trump after 'insane' Mar-a-Lago celebration
A Trump-friendly right-wing podcaster is furious with the president over a recent gaudy celebration at his Mar-a-Lago resort in South Florida, HuffPost reported on Monday.
Comedian Tim Dillon, an influencer with a wide male fanbase who advocated hard for President Donald Trump during the election but has grown more critical of the president in recent months, "shared footage of performers dancing in period costumes and dog masks at the American Humane Society’s 15th Annual Hero Dog Awards Gala, which took place earlier this month," noted the report.
That event featured dancers in elaborate 18th-century ball costumes with dog masks, performing for a wealthy and upscale crowd. It drew widespread mockery from the left at the time, with Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) posting, "Why is Donald Trump hosting a FURRY PARTY???"
Dillon, however, vented his own rage over the event, arguing that it sent a horrible message to hold such an over-the-top costume party at a moment when the economy is stalling, workers are losing their jobs, and global tensions are rising.
“What the f--- is that? What the f--- is that?” said Dillon. “It just seems like the point of everything is to demoralize you — to the point where it’s not even debatable anymore how insane this is.”
He added, “It’s literally the end of the world. I don’t give a f--- what this was for. Who gives a f--- what it was for?”
This comes at a moment when the MAGA ecosystem is already on edge and fracturing over the administration's refusal to follow their own laws in releasing the Jeffrey Epstein case files, with polls showing rock-bottom approval from Americans on the issue and even figures like Alex Jones losing patience with the administration.
