Brooklyn Peltz Beckham Wedding DJ Weighs In On Victoria Beckham 'Inappropriate' Dance Claims
DJ and social media influencer Fat Tony has opened up about what really went down on the dance floor at Brooklyn Peltz Beckham’s wedding – after witnessing it first hand.
Earlier this week, Brooklyn made headlines when he broke his silence on the fall-out between himself and his parents Sir David and Victoria Beckham, accusing them of “controlling” and “performative” behaviour.
He also claimed that his famous mum “hijacked” his first dance at his wedding reception, leaving him feeling “humiliated” and “uncomfortable” by “very inappropriately on” him “in front of everyone”.
Earlier this week, HuffPost UK contacted representatives for both Sir David and Victoria Beckham but did not receive a response.
Fat Tony was one of the DJs at Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham’s big day back in April 2022, and shared his account of what happened during an appearance on This Morning.
Insisting that there was “no slut-dropping” or “Spice Girl action”, Tony claimed that it was more the timing of Victoria’s alleged behaviour that was “inappropriate” than her actual conduct.
He recalled: “Basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage. He then called Brooklyn onto the stage. Brooklyn went onto the stage, where the next minute, everyone was expecting it to be Nicola to go up and do the first dance. And then Marc Anthony asks ‘the most beautiful woman in the room’ to come to the stage. And then he says, ‘Victoria, come to the stage’.”
Tony continued: “Of course, at that point, Brooklyn’s suddenly, literally devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife. Then Nicola leaves the room crying her eyes out, Brooklyn’s stuck there on stage, and then they do this dance and Marc Anthony’s like, ‘Go put your hands on your mother’s hips’.”
He admitted: “The whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room.”
Explaining he’s DJed at many Beckham parties, he said that the family are very “close-knit” and love to dance at events, but maintained: “If Brooklyn felt it was inappropriate and awkward, then it was inappropriate.”

Following Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding, a write-up of their big day was published in British Vogue, in which it was claimed that the newlyweds’ first dance at their reception was to a rendition of Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling In Love performed by the South African singer Lloyiso, after which Nicola and her dad danced to Bette Midler’s Wind Beneath My Wings.
Interestingly, Vogue’s piece also claimed that it was Brooklyn who invited Victoria “on stage for a dance” during Marc Anthony’s set, where they were also joined by his dad, David, and younger sister, Harper, who was 10 at the time.
However, a more recent article published in People magazine last year saw an undisclosed “source close to the Peltz family” alleging that it was, indeed, Marc Anthony who invited Brooklyn on stage, before surprising him with an appearance from Victoria, who Marc introduced as “the most beautiful woman in the room tonight”.
People claimed that Brooklyn was caught off guard by this, as it was a moment he and his new wife had planned to dance together, once again using the term “hijack” to describe Victoria’s alleged conduct.
According to People’s source, Nicola “felt that Victoria ruined her wedding, and couldn’t understand why”, while a “second source” told the US outlet that the “jaw-dropping” moment “left the whole room in absolute shock” to the point “you could hear a pin drop”.
