Kate Hudson’s Daughter Rani Twins With Mom — Complete With a Tiny Guitar Strapped to Her Back
Kate Hudson’s daughter Rani Rose, 7, might follow in her musical footsteps one day. The Almost Famous actress, who was recently nominated for a BAFTA Leading Actress Award for Song Sung Blue, shared a new photo with her mini-me — and it was the tiny guitar strapped to her back that has us thinking she is going to be a star one day.
“BAFTA! Thank you! I am so honored to be nominated ❤️” Hudson wrote on Instagram this week. “England has always been a real home for me and my family so this nomination feels like a love letter back to a place that’s given us so much ???? See you soon London Town ????????”
In one picture, Hudson works on her laptop next to her daughter Rani, who she shares with fiancé Danny Fujikawa, and her son Bingham, 14, who she shares with ex Matt Bellamy, on a train. Both kids have headphones on, and it looks like Rani is watching Taylor Swift The Eras Tour on Disney+.
Hudson hugs Rani and kisses her cheek in another picture, with both mother and daughter wearing black shirts and jeans as they stand barefoot in the grass. They look the most like twins in slide 6, however. In this one, Hudson and Rani hold hands as they walk across a bride, dressed in black leggings and long-sleeve shirts. Hudson has a guitar in a black case strapped to her back and Rani has a tiny guitar in a similar black case slung around her back, which makes her look exactly like her mom.
Last week, Hudson found out she was nominated for an Oscar, again with Rani by her side. “It’s been an absolutely glorious morning,” Hudson, who also shares son Ryder, 22, with ex Chris Robinson, told USA Today after her second-ever Oscar nomination. “It really hasn’t sunk in totally yet, but it’s going to at some point,” she continued.
Hudson revealed that she had set an alarm for the Oscar nominations, which woke up her daughter, who was sleeping in her bed. “My alarm went off, and I put on the TV, and my daughter was like, ‘What is happening?’ She was not having it. She was like ‘Mom!’” Hudson recalled. “I was like, ‘Honey, this is important.’ And then she got really excited.”
Watching the nominations, Rani was excited to see “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters get nominated. “Then she saw my name and saw that I was getting very emotional, and it hit her,” Hudson continued. “And she was finally like, ‘Oh, my God, Mommy!’ And I said, ‘Yes, honey, I just got nominated for an Oscar.’”
What an exciting time, especially having her kids right by her side through it all.
