This Fan Favorite Frosty Is Coming Back to Wendy's
For years and years and years, chocolate was the only Frosty flavor available at Wendy's. Now, the unique dessert is practically as versatile as Dairy Queen's Blizzard. There are Frosty Swirls with sweet, saucy syrups. There are Frosty Fusions with cookie crumbles and brownie bits.
Last year, for a limited time, there was a Frosty collab that only previously existed in dreams: the Thin Mint Frosty. Inspired by the iconic, wildly popular Girl Scout cookie, this Frosty was swirled with a minty, chocolatey sauce laden with cookie crumbles. Now, as Girl Scout cookie season rapidly approaches, Wendy's is bringing the sweet treat back for another go.
The Thin Mint Frosty will be available again starting February 16, according to NRN. You can add the sauce to either a chocolate or vanilla Frosty base — though obviously, chocolate is the choice if you want to replicate the Thin Mint with integrity.
What People Think of Wendy's Thin Mint Frosty
When the Thin Mint Frosty first came out last year, reviewers raved. The person who tried it for Taste of Home loved it so much they ordered it three days in a row. Their only complaint? The inconsistency of the amount and placement of the syrup.
"In my case, this varies wildly depending on who is working at Wendy’s when you place your order," they wrote. Understandable. Imagine someone who just went through a bitter break-up is making your Frosty, and they want you to be just as angry as they are. No syrup for you!
On the flip side, imagine your Frosty is being made by someone whose partner just bought them a LongHorn Steakhouse commitment ring and wants to spread the love all around. Extra syrup for everyone!
The Impulsive Buynoted that the sauce does the iconic cookie justice. "If you sample just the sauce," they wrote, "the Thin Mints flavor is mainlined to your taste buds."
