Shirley‘s youngest daughter had tried to get in contact with her that morning and drove to her home after not being able to reach her. She “waited and waited” and threw rocks at the house to get her attention. Eventually, she called the police to conduct a wellness check.
It has been reported that Shirley was found on the side of her bed and “unresponsive.” There are no visible signs to explain her death as of this time.
Shirley‘s daughter Danielle Williams opened up to People about the global response to her family’s loss.
“It feels amazing to see how far her reach was and how many people knew her and loved her and are caring for her like she cared for her community,” she said. “She’d just want those she served to be supported.”
We have sadly lost many stars already in 2026.
