“Words seem inadequate to express the loss I feel today. I had the honor of knowing and working with the great Catherine O'Hara for over fifty years. From our beginnings on the Second City stage, to SCTV, to the movies we did with Chris Guest, to our six glorious years on Schitt's Creek, I cherished our working relationship, but most of all our friendship. And I will miss her. My heart goes out to Bo, Matthew, Luke, and the entire O'Hara family."

In a February 2021 The Guardian interview about Schitt's Creek, Catherine O'Hara shared a touching insight into her lasting partnership with Eugene Levy. O'Hara put her work with Levy in a new context by explaining that their personal bond and trust allowed them to feel safe performing together.
"You’re being made fun of by someone who you know loves you, so there’s sweetness, but an edge, and it means everything doesn’t have to be soft, because you know you’re safe."
During the same interview, O'Hara said something very simple that was extremely telling about how much respect she had for Levy. "Eugene Levy is the sweetest man!"
