Everton reject Juventus approach for Beto, Zhegrova talks don’t develop
The Athletic reports that Everton rejected a Juventus approach for Beto last week and that talks between the two sides involving Edon Zhegrova ‘didn’t develop.’
Everton refused to discuss a potential Beto loan move to Juventus last week, according to The Athletic.
Why Everton rejected Juventus’ approach for Beto
The Serie A giants are on the market for a new centre-forward, and Beto, a former Udinese striker, was only the last name sounded out by Juve in the January window after Jean-Philippe Mateta and Youssef En-Nesyri.
According to the report, Everon had concerns about finding an adequate replacement for Beto, so they rejected the Juventus approach.
Zhegrova involved in talks between Everton and Juventus
The Athletic adds that the two parties even discussed Zhegrova’s possible move to the English club, but negotiations didn’t develop.
Juventus have recently reached agreements to sign OGC Nice winger Jeremie Boga and Bologna right-back Emil Holm, while Alfredo Pedullà claims that the latest target in attack for the Bianconeri is ex-Inter captain Mauro Icardi.
