Rio Ferdinand makes exciting claim after hearing from Man Utd insiders about 22yo star
Manchester United forward Benjamin Sesko is firmly back in the spotlight after his dramatic stoppage-time winner against Fulham on Sunday.
Club icon Rio Ferdinand has now revealed what he is hearing about the 22-year-old behind the scenes.
He said on his YouTube podcast Rio Ferdinand Presents: “What I would say about him from people on the training ground is his attitude is first class.
“He’s in every day, early, ready to prepare for training, ready to do the extras before training, getting his body right, to make sure that he is ready to go out there and give his best every day in training, no stone is left unturned.”
“And they say especially for a young kid, his mindset and his attitude has been first class.”
Benjamin Sesko has a bright future
Despite his growing influence, former United captain Gary Neville has remained critical of Sesko since his move to Old Trafford last summer.
We believe his critics have overlooked the quieter but crucial contributions the Slovenian has been making.
Sesko has five goals and one assist to his name in just over 1,000 Premier League minutes.
He is also in fantastic form, netting four goals in his last four appearances.
Caretaker manager Michael Carrick has opted for Bryan Mbeumo to lead the attack in his three games in charge.
Yet the striker still made an instant impact against Fulham, coming off the bench and rattling the woodwork with his very first touch.
What initially looked like a missed golden chance quickly became a warning sign of his threat, as his movement and timing caused immediate problems.
For strikers, margins are often fine. Sometimes the ball clips the post, and sometimes it crashes into the net.
This time, Sesko had the final say, with his late winner proving the difference and underlining his growing confidence.
That decisive moment could be the spark that sees him become an even more dangerous weapon for United, even when used from the bench.
