Deadly Blast Near Mosque Area Kills 10 in Pakistan’s Islamabad
A powerful explosion near a religious site in Islamabad killed at least ten people, injuring several others and raising fresh security concerns nationwide.
Pakistani media reported that an explosion occurred near an imambargah in Islamabad’s Tarlai area, leaving at least ten people dead and several others injured.
Geo News reported that police and emergency rescue teams quickly reached the scene and transported the wounded to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital for treatment.
The incident comes only days after deadly attacks in Balochistan claimed dozens of civilian and security personnel lives in violence claimed by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the Islamabad explosion, and authorities have begun investigations to determine the cause and perpetrators.
Security forces have increased patrols and tightened security measures in parts of Islamabad following the attack, fearing possible further incidents.
Officials say continued investigations and improved intelligence coordination will be critical in preventing future attacks and restoring public confidence in security arrangements.
