Finland at the Olympics: Kärävä into slopestyle final, Lehto 15th
Finland opened its second full day of competition at the Milan–Cortina Winter Olympics with mixed results as Anni Kärävä secured a place in the women’s freeski slopestyle final and Elian Lehto fell short of expectations in the men’s downhill.
Kärävä advanced to Monday’s final after qualifying inside the top 12 despite a fall on her second run. Lehto placed 15th in Bormio, more than two seconds behind the winner, after a run that failed to match his early-season form.
