Behind-The-Scenes Super Bowl Clips Show Surprising Detail Of Bad Bunny's Performance
A week after scooping the top prize at the 2026 Grammys, Bad Bunny well and truly cemented his status as man of the moment on Sunday night when he headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Bad Bunny’s 13-minute set saw him performing hits from across his music career, with particular emphasis on his 2025 album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, with surprise cameos from the likes of Cardi B, Pedro Pascal and Karol G, as well as unannounced guest spots from fellow music legends Ricky Martin and Lady Gaga.
The performance itself served as a joyful and vibrant celebration of Puerto Rican culture, with countless nods to the territory for people to spot, including prominently-displayed palm trees, banana trees and other plants and vegetation native to that particular area.
What people didn’t realise until afterwards, though, is that there was more to this set design than met the eye.
After Bad Bunny’s performance was over, people at the Levi’s Stadium in California began sharing their own behind-the-scenes footage, which revealed that many of the trees used in the routine weren’t actually props or set dressing, but full-scale costumes being worn by real people, to make it easier to assemble and dismantle without disrupting the central football game.

It’s also been revealed that Bad Bunny chose to forego the designer gear worn by many of his Super Bowl Halftime Show predecessors in favour of an outfit that was almost entirely from one popular high-street retailer.
Outside of the halftime show, this year’s Super Bowl saw Charlie Puth kicking things off (no, not literally…) with a stand-out rendition of the US national anthem, while the star-studded ad slots included a mini-Friends reunion, Lady Gaga duetting with a childhood favourite and Sabrina Carpenter bringing the comedy.
