Winter storm warning in place for Yosemite until early Wednesday evening
Yosemite, Upper San Joaquin River and Kaiser to Rodgers Ridge are the focus of a winter storm warning released at 12:19 p.m. on Monday by the National Weather Service. The warning is valid from 10 p.m. until Wednesday Feb. 11, at 4 p.m.
The NWS Hanford CA states to prepare for, “Total snow accumulations 12 to 18 inches above 7000 feet and up to 24 inches at the highest elevations. Winds gusting as high as 40 to 50 mph.”
“Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes,” according to the NWS. “If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.”

All enabled mobile phones in the area will receive emergency alerts for “considerable or catastrophic” hazards.
