'The Mummy 4' Gets Premiere Date, Brendan Fraser & Rachel Weisz to Return!
The Mummy 4 is in the works!
Following the announcement that Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz will be reprising their roles, Universal has given the film a release date.

The movie, being directed by Scream 5 and Scream 6 directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Radio Silence), will hit theaters on May 19, 2028.
There are no plot details, but the main stars are back as Rick and Evelyn O’Connell, per THR.
Brendan starred in the three previous movies, and Rachel starred in the first two.
The Mummy was released in May 1999, and follows a treasure hunter (Fraser) who travels to Egypt in the 1920s with a librarian (Weisz) only to accidentally awaken a supernaturally powerful high priest. It made over $422 million and launched a franchise, including a prequel, The Scorpion King, and even a ride at Universal Studios Hollywood.
The franchise as a whole has made $1.8 billion.
