Holm Laegreid, 28, won the Bronze in men's biathlon on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, and his post-race interview is drawing international headlines.
"There's someone I want to share this with, who may not be watching today," said Holm Laegreid emotionally to a Norwegian TV station. "Six months ago, I met the love of my life. The most beautiful, wonderful person in the world. And three months ago, I made the biggest mistake of my life and cheated on her. And that's all I've been thinking about for a week."
