Liz Truss says Donald Trump ‘right about everything’ even after ‘racist’ Obama post
Prime Minister for 49 days Liz Truss is underfire after being pictured with Donald Trump despite his racist message to the Obama’s depicting them as apes.
Truss met with the US President at his golf course in Palm Beach on Sunday.
The pair are pictured smiling to the camera with Liz Truss adding the caption ‘Right about everything’.
It came after Trump posted a video on Truth Social showing Barack and Michelle Obama’s faces on ape bodies – sparking outrage from both sides of the political spectrum.
The minute-long video about rigged voting machines, which has since been deleted, showed a two-second shot of the former President and First Lady as apes.

They were dancing in a jungle with The Lion Sleeps Tonight playing in the background.
During an interview with Brian Tyler Cohen, Obama said: ‘First of all, I think it’s important to recognise that the majority of the American people find this behaviour deeply troubling.
‘It is true that it gets attention. It’s indeed a distraction…
‘You meet people… they still believe in decency, courtesy, kindness, and there’s this sort of clown show that’s happening in social media and on television.’
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said: ‘This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from The Lion King.
‘Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.’
Following her resignation after 49 days in office, Truss has increasingly embraced the US right wing and cast herself as a victim of the UK’s so-called ‘deep state’.
During an appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference in February 2024, she stayed silent as former White House strategist Steve Bannon described far-right activist Tommy Robinson as a ‘hero’.
At the general election less than five months later, she sensationally lost her South West Norfolk seat to Labour’s Terry Jermy.
Liz Truss and Trump appear to be happier together than The White House’s official Valentine’s Day card, featuring Donald and first lady Melania Trump.
Pictured holding hands and walking, with serious expressions on their faces, the photo was captioned ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’.
The last few weeks have been a rough ride for the President and First Lady, as they grapple with the ongoing drama from the released Jeffrey Epstein files.
Some online took the Valentine’s Day post as a chance to poke fun at the situation, sharing doctored images of Trump walking alongside Epstein, or ‘redacting’ his face in the photo as a nod to the redacted files.
