Catherine O'Hara Laid to Rest in Private Funeral Service Attended by Family & Close Friends
Catherine O’Hara has been laid to rest two weeks after her passing.
If you did not see the tragic news, the Emmy winner, known for roles in classics like Home Alone and Best In Show, as well as Schitt’s Creek, died at the age of 71 on January 30 following a “brief illness.”
On Saturday (February 14), Catherine’s family and close friends gathered at her private funeral service at St. Martin of Tours Church Feb. 14 in Los Angeles to pay tribute.
Keep reading to find out more…“Rest in peace darling Catherine,” Road House actress Kelly Lynch wrote on Instagram while sharing a photo of the funeral pamphlet, which featured a photo of Catherine as a teenager wearing a plaid skirt and sweater, posing with her hands framed widely around her face.
Also in the caption of the post, Kelly quoted Raymond Carver’s poem “Late Fragment.”
“‘And did you get what / You wanted from this life, even so? / I did,’” the poem reads. “‘And what did you want? / To call myself beloved, to feel myself / beloved on the earth.’”
