‘I’ll Kill You’: Lawyer for Victoria’s Secret Founder Caught on Hot Mic During Epstein Deposition
During Les Wexner’s nearly five-hour congressional deposition about Jeffrey Epstein, his lawyer was caught on a hot mic saying: “I’m going to f—ing kill you if you answer another question with more than five words.” The moment came four hours and 25 minutes in.
Both of them laughed. It was almost 99% a joke about wrapping up after a long day.
The exchange came during Wexner’s testimony before the House Oversight Committee on February 18, 2026, where the 88-year-old billionaire was questioned under oath about his two-decade financial relationship with Epstein. Earlier in the deposition, the same attorney had already urged Wexner to keep his answers short, telling the committee: “I’m sure we all appreciate the stories, we’re just trying to answer questions that they actually want answered.”
Reaction on Social Media
“The lawyer reports to people far more powerful than his client,” wrote one YouTube commenter with over 200 likes. “This proves Wexner is not that high in the totem pole. There are even more powerful entities behind them,” wrote another with 262 likes. Several called for the lawyer to be arrested. “Shouldn’t that lawyer be charged for witness tampering?” one person asked. “Lock that guy up for witness intimidation,” wrote another with 353 likes.
Others read it more plainly. “He keeps giving long answers that open him up to worse questions and his lawyer’s straight telling him he’s an idiot who needs to STFU,” wrote one Reddit commenter with nearly 200 upvotes. Another: “A lawyer telling his client to shut the f— up is almost invariably correct.”
Or maybe he just had to go to the bathroom.
